I’ve seen better days

I’ve seen better days.

But better days haven’t seen me in a while.

I wake up everyday hoping to greet a better day.

And each day is different than the day before.

How do you measure a better day?

And will you know when you had one?

Will better days see you all day?

Better days why don’t you come back around?

What would the best day ever be and could it ever get better?

Better days seem to evade me.

Please persuade me that there are better days on the rise.

It may be tomorrow or the next day but they’re on the way.

Better days are like an old friend that I bump into and think about the past better days.

Life is what you make it so I’ve been told.

Then how is there better days?

I make the best of each day and hope that tomorrow will be a better day then the day before.
