Summary

It's a happy one, I promise, full of smiles and hugs and rainbows etc.

Well maybe that's a bit OTT, but I sat down to write a sad one and this is what came out, and it is at worst gleeful - like the tiniest beacon of hope shining out from a dirt filled grave ... =D.

November 15th

About a year ago 'goodbye'
was not my favorite word,
but now it's why I say 'hello,'
I know that sounds absurd.

The moments when we bid farewell
are times I can't replace,
for first we smile, then say 'goodbye,'
then I'm graced by your embrace.

And in that moment I find faith
and the answers to my prayer,
as all I ever dream about
comes true as I hold you there.

And so once more we say 'so long,'
embrace like true best friends,
as secretly I think of us
and hope this never ends.

Perhaps it's not what friends should do,
I don't care, not one bit,
because if heaven could exist
I assure you this is it.
