One More Fix

If you try to fit an old, broke clock
with a brand new shiny part,
you'll fail right from the very start,
you'll sink like a boat of rock.

So why try fix my half a heart,
when it was one of a kind?
You must be out your mind,
I cannot duplicate such art.

So fix I shan't
this broken heart,
a brand new start
is what I'll grant,

I'll smash what's left into the ground
and toss out the remains,
so I can buy one free of pains,
no more shall I be bound.

I never meant to go and break
but what was I to do?
It's true I was in love with you,
now you're my favorite mistake.

To you these words were never spoken,
or else I could repair,
you'll learn this when you're in despair,
you can't rebuild unless it's broken.
