Yours Sincerest, Dear Old Friend

From face to face and
lips to lips,
from poise and grace
to lips to hips.

I've changed so much?
well so have you.
I say goodbye,
you fickle few.

You're not around for me no more,
you're nowhere near at all.
I wouldn't kick the chair for you, but
I won't catch you when you fall.

You tried to disguise it, but
it got past my eyes, it
was too many lies and it's
severed our ties, it

won't work to pretend that you didn't want this,
so don't tell me to calm down,
we're well passed pissed now, dear old friend,
I've got more than enough hate to drown

a whole nation of you,
won't that be a story
for your poor assured people?
They'll die in all of your glory.

But don't you worry, dear old friend,
for you there's a little more drama,
there always is for you, I guess,
when you seek it like it's good karma

as if you're thinking
“nobody's screwed up enough right now,
I'd better interject
myself, and be as subtle as a cow.”

Well I'm interjecting my two cents,
it's a lesson you won't soon forget.
Here's the headline for your scandal sheets:
'I wish we'd never met.'
