Beneath A Velvet Sky *Angellynn's Contest*

My heart and my soul,
Lie beneath a velvet sky,
A place where love will takes its toll,
The place I will live until I die.

My mind and my eyes,
Linked under the sun,
Watch you shout,
And then watch you run.

I scream for you to return,
And then I leap into your arms,
This place is ours,
That, you must learn.

As the day ends,
Your arms wrap around me,
You say that you love me,
And that no one will see.

The wish that we made,
Of a life spent together,
I now know I mustn’t lie,
I’ve locked our hearts beneath a velvet sky.
