5 Games That Would Scare Your Pants Off

Ok, since Halloween just went by, I thought I’ll keep the spirit alive by listing the 5 scariest games of all time. Most of these are available for free and almost all of them have gameplays uploaded on Youtube. Be sure to play right before you go to bed! I stayed up two nights after researching for this article and I’m sure you will too after trying them all out!

  1.  Slender: The Eight Pages: Originally known simply as Slender, is a free download indie-developed first-person survival horror video game released in June 2012. Ok, I peed in my pants while playing this. IT WAS SO SCARY. You basically get a torch with limited battery and you are led into the woods and told to find eight sheets of paper which gives you hints about the Slender Man, before he finds you. If you don’t know who or what the slender man is, he is a fictional character  that originated as an Internet meme created by Something Awfulforums user Eric Knudsen (a.k.a. "Victor Surge") in 2009. It is depicted as resembling a thin, unnaturally tall man with a blank and usually featureless face, wearing a black suit. Stories of the Slender Man commonly feature him stalking, abducting, or traumatizing people, particularly children. Its sound effects are quite nice and if you don’t use your torch wisely, the battery runs out and you are left in the dark to fend for yourself. Super Scary.\"\"
  2. The House 2: This game revolves around a house in which the mother, father, daughter and maid commit suicide and the neighbours lock it up for good because a house in which all the members have committed suicide is considered to be evil. It’s a single player game and you are led into the house and automatically led into different areas of the house once you complete searching or investigating each area. Each area has its different kind of scare associated with it, random blood, spirits here and there, you know. Its VERY scary so viewer discretion is advised. It contains a few jumpscares too XD\"\"
  3. The Bong Chong Dong Ghost: Well, this one is more of a visual novel than a game. Its pretty short and will take you roughly five minutes to go through but you will return a changed person. I swear. Before you start reading it, they give a warning stating that people with heart problems are advised not to watch and stuff so that makes it even more scary. The story basically revolves around a girl, returning from school late at night when she encounters a woman desperately looking for her child. This is a MUST watch. Please go and watch this!\"\"
  4. The Grudge Game: I was too scared to try this game because it asks for your name and everything and I’m very cautious about trying things which asked for personal details. Anyway, I signed in with a false name but after seeing the intro, I was just too scared. So I chickened out. However, I did see a gameplay or walkthrough or whatever you want to call it on Youtube and one thing is for sure.

I AM NEVER GONNA PLAY THAT GAME.

5-  Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a survival horror video game by Frictional Games,[2] released for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux platforms. The game features a protagonist named Daniel exploring a dark and foreboding castle, while avoiding monsters and other obstructions as well as solving puzzles. Its a pretty cool game. The ghost/monster thingie doesn’t really give you the chills but the anticipation definitely gets your adrenaline rushing! This is a critically acclaimed game so its bound to be pretty good. Check it out, its amazing.

In case you are a scaredy  cat like me (well, most of the times) you can always watch the walkthroughs of these games by PewDiePie or Tobuscus on Youtube. However, playing them yourself will give you a different kind of chill you DO NOT want to miss! I would have given the links to the games but since you can’t copy on Booksie, it wont really serve its purpose :P

Happy Halloween Guys! We don’t really celebrate Halloween in my country so I spent my day studying (pretty scary in itself) and ate a Mars bar in the evening and juggled my time between different tuitions. Since I already look like a walking talking horror movie, I didn’t really have to arrange for a costume. So Trick, treat and costume done! Hence, I indirectly celebrated Halloween lol.

So, I hope you guys liked this article! It took me a lot of time to write because I tried out EVERY SINGLE game before passing my verdict on it and so, I have risked my life for you!
