Palindrome Place
The approach
The eyes straining like the car’s engine
Broke free of the gradient
Then green, blue and home
Here I first found atoms
And sea foam
Nurtured by silence
And restructured
Blurred now
Smudged anemones
And hazier horizons
But never absent.
