One look and she is perished.
Frozen blue beauty penetrates through her,
Relentless, yet-
His cruel childish lips curl up and thaw her heart
All over again.

She needs his firm hands on the panes of her clavicle,
Meandering down the caramel curves of her waist,
Or forearms locked around her heart
Moments from her simmering skin,
Safe – just once.

His kiss is her rage, his kiss is her tears.
A tight embrace he tests her conscious cheeks,
Stamps her lips and she is branded.
Her blood flutters to her guilty hand as it ricochets
Off his careless chest.

Fury pipes through her fiery veins,
She stumbles through the sea of eyes
Lands her hands on the cold, alcohol marred bar.
Vodka burns away his kiss and crawls through her throat.
Her love utters ‘I’m not attracted to you’
While her lover asks ‘Don’t you love me too?’
