A short poem I wrote in December, 2009, a few hours before one of my final exams in college. I hadn't studied enough, and I knew I would do badly... but after thinking about it I wasn't sure I cared.
I did end up passing the class, just in case you were wondering.

Oh, sheet of lined paper,

Your margins are cold

My ink has no color,

Our topics grow old

You’re naught but a burden,

A pen in my side

My sad lack of int’rest

I shan’t care to hide

I slacked off for fortnights

I regret it not

Your mind-numbing knowledge

I’m glad I forgot

For my mind is a kingdom,

Creations so grand

That your quaint beads of wisdom

Can’t harm this fair land.

So I sigh in denial,

And let rest my quill

I’ve more worlds to create

And more brain cells to kill.
