Night time Poetry

Tonight, I cannot sleep.
The thoughtless peacefulness,
Where I have no worries or fears,
Will not come near.

So I climb out of bed
And moving like a ghost,
I

Exit out the back door,
And walk into the night.

Midnight is not black,
It is a reddish purplish maroonish haze.
That is hard to describe.
It is magical, still, mesmerising.
I find that all my nerves have relaxed.

I sit on a step and look up.

Bright stars have dotted the sky.
Little inconsequential points of light,
Make up something bigger than what we know.

I am a star,
You are a star,
Everyone in this world is a star.

Little points of light,
Making up something bigger,
Than
What
We

Know.

Who ever said night time had to be lonely?
I had never felt more comforted
By the voices that will never speak.
