People say that "there's plenty of fish in the sea"
but what happens if none of those fish are for me?

What if she was the only one
who could fight away the clouds and bring the sun?
She was the comfort I craved,
She was the troubles I braved.
What if now I see no light,
What if now that she's gone it's always night.
She quieted the voices in my head,
When all they wanted me was dead.

But,

What if she was the darkness,
The one that never gave us any bliss.
Because her light was no glory,
Neither was the ending of our story.
She was arms I despised.
She was the love I kissed goodbye.
There is no light in my life,
But even with her gone I still have my knife.
Even while she quieted the voices in my head,
Her voice is left telling me to drop dead.

People say that "there's plenty of fish in the sea."
But what if my last catch killed me?
