Apparently Jamestown Story is very inspirational because I was listening to them when I wrote this. It's sort of based on my best friend who I sometimes have bitter thoughts about but I love really.

Do you remember how it used to be?

We’d giggle and grin ‘til we were asleep.

We’d take turns but you always came first.

If you were the queen, I was the maid.

If you were the mother, I was the long-lost relative,

And there were no boys allowed.

I loved you but now it’s all changed,

I’m too bitter to still love you

Do you remember how it used to be?

We were inseparable,

Best friends ‘til the end.

No one could some between us,

But now I don’t want to be your friend.

I loved you but now it’s all changed,

I’m too bitter to still love you

Do you remember how it used to be?

I bared my soul but you closed your eyes,

I told you my secrets but you turned away,

That’s when I started wondering.

I loved you but now it’s all changed,

I’m too bitter to still love you

Do you remember how it used to be?

We danced ‘til the dawn and

Held each other ‘til dusk.

I loved you but now it’s all changed,

I’m too bitter to still love you

Do you remember how it used to be?

It was us against the world

Do you remember how it used to be?
