I am unspeakably sad these days and some of that sadness seeps in whatever i write.

Stones & Bones

“magic realism, abstract, open ended, dark, morbid”

When I touch a beautiful stone with my bare hands, I can feel its curves, its ruggedness, its ancientness, the age old moments embedded into it and sometimes I can feel its thoughts too. And I can’t help saying, “wow, this guy is something! This guy is indeed a jewel. “  and immediately the stone starts communicating with my bones as if inviting them back into the earth, their origin.

And urging them to let that piece of sky go that they have entangled into themselves. Then I hear that piece of sky flapping its wings helplessly. I immediately take my hand off that handsome stone. I am sane again but cant help thinking, “wow, that guy was something. It was indeed a jewel.”

Thats how, stones hold the sky and also that’s how sky holds the stones. In one word: precariously.

Life is short. Live it well.

Yours sincerely,

OB.
