One Day at a Time
I like you today; maybe we can go to your house for a while. I’ll let you get excited and laugh
coquettishly as you make a fool of yourself. I’ll lay composed, lavishing in my restraint. Your control, immediately relinquished, will settle deftly in my impartial hands. Taking great
amusement in the spectacle I have orchestrated, I will quietly observe as you ricochet across the room. You body will reverberate, echoing my gift of rapture. I’ll remain unsatisfied, disappointed
with your routine. We’ll make plans to try again the next day—but I may not like you then.
