Hi, Booksie! As I've recently returned, I've decided to have my first contest.
Prompt: think of some message you think society can learn or benefit from, dealing with any kind of social, political, or economical issue. Write a fable, short story, or poem conveying this message.
Rules: -I don't like to restrict length, but it should be at least 100 characters and under 20 pages. If it's necessary to break either limit, however, be my guest. -Any kind of language is allowed, as long as it's English. -Smut isn't really relevant to this prompt, although you can feel free to try and write it. -I'd prefer not to read a story in neon green comic sans. -Poems can be any style at all. -You can state the moral of the story, or just leave it up to me to figure it out.
I'll judge the entries based on: -originality/creativity -the message (relevance to society and originality) -grammar (spelling is assumed; spellcheck exists for a reason :))
Prizes: First place - a link on my profile, a fan from me, and 10 reads/likes/comments Second place - a link on my profile, a fan from me, and 5 reads/likes/comments Third place - a link on my profile or a fan from me (your choice) and 5 reads/likes
Also, I'll check out the work of anyone who enters, so if you're thinking about it, enter! Even if you don't win, I might fan and read your work :)
The contest will end July 27th; if you need an extension, let me know. Comment below to enter, and comment with the link of your work when you finish. Good luck!
