The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice.

The book is narrated by Lestat (pronounced: les-dot) de Lioncourt, a late 18th century country lord, turned vampire. Lestat begins his tale in the 1980's in New Orleans. In every book Lestat gives us, he always at the very beginning introduces himself, he loves to do it!

Lestat takes us through his mortal and Immortal life. Along the way you shall meet Armand, Laurent, Nicolas de Lenfent, Marius de Romanus, and he takes us back to the 20th century you'll see Louis de Pointe du Lac from his point of view.

Lestat gives you his Passion, Audacity, Impetuosity, naivity and pain. He allows you to see what it's really like to be one of the Damned.

The Vampire Lestat, is memorable, interesting and in some cases instructive. The lessons to be found in this book are different for each and every person and so I cannot tell you what you might learn from Lestat's tale. it's memorable because of the events and the emotions contained in the bound pages of the book and interesting because it's not your traditional dracula style vampire novel.

Pick up Lestat's tale, read it, you won't regret it! This book is for anyone who has an imagination, it's for anyone who can believe that these things are possible.
Even if you dont think you like reading about vampires read this book, I didnt love vampires or have interest in them and then I was given The Vampire Lestat for my 16th birthday and I've loved them ever since.

I've read The Vampire Lestat so many times I've lost count, and I never tire of opening the pages again and again, each time I read it i find a new lesson to be learnt. for a rating out ten well this book goes way past ten, in my opinion of course. Yours however may be somewhat different.
