My breath would escape my lips

the second I saw your face

Getting to know you

was like being born again

everyday

I felt so alive

I'd fight for your love

go to the end of the world

just to be with you,

but then

the hurt came

and now the pain

is as simple

as seeing your name

the feelings dissipate 

and now I look around

wondering if one day

I'll feel that way

because until then

the earth is flat

nothing excites me 

like being in love

and I miss that.
