I recently got a nook, purchased from the marketplace. Excited I placed quite a few ebooks on it and started to enjoy reading my electronic book, marveling at how book-like it was and how much better that an actual book because it could hold more than one book, and it could actually surf the net a bit,no paper back book could do that.

I was actually contemplating getting rid of my collection of books but decided to keep them for a while.I usually take a book to work to help keep my brain alert. However I decided no book, my nook would go with me it. For the first time work would be fun.In-between patrolling and keeping my eyes peeled for prowlers I'd read on my nook.

As I pushed my bike through the door the handle twisted the wheel caught and me and the bike tumbled through the door.I got up brushed off my hands ,rubbed my knee got some ice and then remembered with fear my nook was in the side pocket,I quickly pulled it out,the case seemed okay looked at its screen there was a black smudge turned it on waited and nothing but a black line and a smudge in one corner like when you break an lcd screen .The touch screen works but nothing on the e-ink screen my nook is dead.I've tried everything searched every site tried every combination of techniques but none have breathed life back into it.The touch screen at the bottom is useless if I cannot read .

I can almost hear my books whispering to me "we would have survived the fall, our covers may have torn or even a leaf but you would still have been able to read us".But its too late, for the first time tech lust has gotten me.Though my time with it was short I must have another one from now on I must read on a Kindle or a Nook no more book.
