Unmoving as she stared up at the night sky,
Sheets of gray clouds retired lazily across the star covered midnight sky.
The cool breeze of the August night
Sent chills cascading down her slim body,
Neck to toes.
She didn't cover herself.
She left herself vulnerable.
Open to nature.
To the gaze of the millions of stars.
To the touch of the dew covered grass which she lied upon.
Her body lay motionless
But her mind leapt and twisted through aisles of mystery.
Ventured to solar systems and galaxies unknown.
Set out on voyages to undiscovered realms.
All inspired by the twinkling of those little dots floating in space.
She chuckled under her breath.
For what are humans in comparison to the heavens?
