Chapter 3

“Alicia, dinner time!” My father yelled from downstairs.

For dinner we had spaghetti, tomato sauce, meatballs, fresh raspberries, and green beans. After dinner  I took a shower and washed my face. Then I went to bed.

The next day Katlynn showed up on the bus with a smirk on her face.

“What are those?” she said  looking down at my shoes.

I was wearing dirty yellow converse covered with mandalas. I had no idea why she would ask or make fun of my shoes, I mean she wears black converse everyday and nobody makes fun of ‘em.

“Where’d you pick those things up, huh? Salvation Army?” Katlynn sneered.

Gretchen and Navia let out a huge laugh that Katlynn soon joined in on. Sooner or later the whole bus was laughing at me and I bet that about half of the bus didn’t even know what they were laughing about. Then I just couldn’t resist kicking that girls hairy #$%!

“Alicia principal’s when we get there!” yelled the driver, Mr. Karr.

When I got out of the principal’s, I left with mom and my stuff.
