This poem has a similar meaning as my haiku "Filthy Destruction." This poem is in free verse.

Humanity Deserves Something

Life always falls.
However,
Life always gets up.

Humans always destroy
But
We seek endings.

"Find your humanity!"
one cried.
"You monster!"
said another.

There is truth.
Humans will die
by humanoid hands.

We poisoned air.
We ruined water.
We obliterated homes
that weren't ours.

Do we deserve
a savior?

Wow this was amazing and it really hit home considering TWG is all about humans being the good guys and the bad guys and their own worst enemies....this was super powerful Peanut you really outdid yourself on this one! The part where someone shouts find your humanity and then another person goes back and calls them a monster is so amazing it's basically life in 2 short phrases you know? On one hand people are pushing everyone to go outside of their comfort and push for limitless possibilities and sometimes when that happens we as humans push to far and do to much. And this leads to us destroying ourselves or the environment .... it's such a vicious cycle. You have an amazing message going on here and I hope this gets a bunch of reads because it DEF deserves them! You are amazing as usual!

Aww! Thanks so much! I really appreciate the comment. Humans are so destructive that it really makes me question everything. We disrupt nature, then we try to fix it, but we end up making everything worse. I really appreciate the comment, and don't forget how great you are!
