As I'm coming to understand more things about myself, I realize that a lot of my actions in life have been driven by my desire to truely matter to someone. For a lot of reason's I won't share on this page... I've spent a lot of my time feeling as if I don't matter, as if I'm not worth much, or even loveable, and I HATE that feeling. I know that a little poem may not change that feeling in a most people, but I also know how it feels to feel like you don't matter at all. So I'm here, and you matter. I'm an ear that's willing to hear. I don't care how insignificant you may think it is, if you need an ear to hear, I'm an ear that's eager to listen.
YOU MATTER, YOU MATTER... whatever may have told you that you don't is a lie from hell... YOU MATTER.

You Matter

You can matter to me...

even if you've been alone

run down and on your own

even if you feel small

or broken, fragile, and meak

It doesn't matter to me when you're weak,

You can still matter to me.

Don't disapear behind the lie

that you are insignificant

Don't think your burden to small

Or your life so unimportant

that you should bury your shame

And instead of finding peace

Just give in and take the blame.

Don't hold back your plea,

Because, dear love, you matter to me.

Use Your Voice

I WILL listen

Share your heart

And I will care for it.

Don't cast yourself apart

Because you are not alone.

No matter the pain, the shame, or guilt

No matter the joy, the laughter, or love

You mattered, you matter, and you always will.

And if no one else can see,

Know with everything in you,

That you will always matter to me.

What an uplifting poem! Let me add that every single person on this earth, I believe, God has a great love for. I've learned, therefore, that everyone matters to him. Thanks for sharing, Jennifer:), this poem is special. It helps remind me that I do matter.
