Surrender

With the melting of seasons,

It comes...

Hesitantly it whispers over the wall of my heart.

Somehow I know I can't stop this before it begins to start.

It creeps through the cracks I forgot to fill,

In my weakness whatever it is has found its own will.

Its seed now planted at the foot of my wall.

Crumbling bricks begin to fall.

As its vine takes root,

And the seasons melt,

It climbs...

Through the cracks, across the wall.

Its strength grows...

Its beauty abounds...

Helpless to stop it,

I surrender.

Surrender to all I thought I wouldn't.

Surrender to all I thought I couldn't.

Surrender to all I shouldn't.

I surrender to you,

And the melting of seasons.
