The Ice Queen

The frigid fortress of your heart

You can not stand to part

Slave to hates unfaithful kiss

Demon to earthly bliss

Alone and hollow

Where hate leads you follow

Oh Ice Queen in your tower high

Alone you wish to die

So none can hear you cry

But the winds broken sigh

Your blood an icy blue

Your mind took wings and flew

But returned by a snowstorm

Angered by its wretched form

You took quick blade of ice

And cut yourself thrice

Oh Ice Queen in your lonesome night

Your heart cry's out in fright

But silent you your lips bite

Afraid of another's light

I thought I could be your redeemer

But I find myself a hopeless dreamer

I held my hand out

From the shadows you would hear my shout

But to encased in morbid charm

All you ever did was cause me harm

Oh Ice Queen in crumbling tower tall

You've drawn me in and taken all

You cannot retrieve what wishes to fall

No longer shall I heed your call

You've left me a dry empty shell

Given me a part of your own hell

But within me I find a fire burning bright

From within I find the strength to fight

And your deadly appeal

So suddenly seems unreal
