Vibrant leaves of autumn, with fibrous gripping stems.
October shed and shook'em, renouncing them to glen.
Their fire-colored coats, cascaded through a twirl,
Like crinkled rigid skin, blown dry in cloudy swirl.
For sleeping leaves that fell, from branches high-elite,
Some chilly north-bred swish, delivered them defeat.
Below the elms that sway, along bright downy trails,
Vast sloom-shoo'd random piles, grew tall along a dale
Invoked by gust and breeze, eccentric in their dance,
Their absence now a sigh, to autumn trees romance.

Authors note: Sloom shoo
Sloom means decay,
shoo means to scare off or drive away.
The wind is shooing the leaves away.
