A sad person being left behind by everybody.

Behind the clouds

There's the sun

Behind the figure

There's the shadow

Behind the song

Is a romantic melody

Behind my sweetest smiles

Are gallons of tears

Behind my happiness

Is an endless pain

Behind my laughter

Is eternal sorrow

Behind everything I have

I own nothing

Behind me

There's no one standing

Behind my most painful fall

No one's there to catch me

I have no choice but to run

Escape from reality

Leaving everything behind

Leaving you...behind

Most emotionally heartfelt and sad. Interesting reflection of one's personal past. Of all your postings liked this one the best. Great writing.

Gave it an "I Like It" vote. As with your other postings. At times, without commenting. All well deserved.

Presentation Issues:

1. Skip a(n extra) line between intended paragraphs (for fiction) and intended verses (for poetry).

2. Start a new paragraph each time a character may speak, in quotes "", in his/her turn.

Thank you for becoming a fan. Appreciative and grateful. You are most kind, thoughtful and considerate.

Happy trails,

Ed Bradley.

Simply breath-taking.
Greatly put, with thought-provoking meaning, nicely formatted, and the reader can almost feel what the writer's feeling... I almost forgot, and on top of that, the most emotional poem I've read in quite a while. How brilliant is this? I can't tell you how to 'improve' the poem, or to even critique it, since I think it's perfect. The title you chose, is just adding up to the sorrow. If I have to sum it up, this is just amazingly beautiful, despite of the fact that this overflows with pain.
Absolutely deserves a 'like'.
