As we head out for this ride,In our mind's eye not even pride,Can take the place of those who died,For the women and children who cry,As everyday we struggle and try,To keep freedom from running dry,This is my huge sigh,Of relief to see the dye,On the flag as we ride by,I hope it's still there when the fun's done. Nothing I can say,Just stop and pray,As we all parade,And give everyone the okay,I hope this doesn't dismay,All of those who don't pay,Any mind or attention,To the thought of ascension,As I remember to mention,Those who are in a detentionCell as they pray for redemption,As they have resention,For what they've done in the name of fun. As they remember the tears come,As they remember their fears sum,Up what they've gone through in the dumb,Times of their life and now they run,Into their minds to become numb,Just trying to have a little more fun.Stealing every little bit of that sun,Before it goes down and it's all done. How many of us are there who jump the gun,Get an early start on a new problem that'll come? All of us not just one, Trying to protect our son,Because he's more important to us than everyone. So I say this now,I do not know how,To stop somehow,This war we're in,It has to end,We cannot bend,To the will,
That makes us kill,
And keeps us ill,If only to find a way,To say what isn't okay,That'll be the day,
When the fun is never done.
