I wrote this a while back - inspired by my parents emotional turmoil of turning 50.

You live, you die,

Life just passes you by,

You dream of success,

You find your failure,

Your flower grows,

Your buds then wilt,

You ask yourself why?

Every answer is always a lie,

Catch the joys,

Feel the pain,

Never give up,

It hurts all the same,

You think love will never find you,

Until it then blinds you,

Don’t always want more,

Because in the end you will be left with nothing at all.
