The purple in me

that all may today see

is a violent violet,

soon to be overlooked

like the ignored indigo

of our micro-rainbow.

Burple purples such

are given breath by

a green-eyed monster man

living beneath your skin-

first causing red to gush,

with a brilliant blue hue

of two-faces following.

Never before, never again,

I saw a black war waging,

where white flags took plight;

my body found the ground,

a bed of yellow,

thinking it overtly orange,

dying inside with pain.

Pink to gray… pink to gray.
