A poem about time spent with my adult-son at Thanksgiving, 2014.

Talking to my son in the pre-dawn
Intruder orange cat yowling in the darkness
Catching up, bantering

Mike going back to sleep
while I listen to the tick of our clock
time gradually slipping away

Good he is here
Good we can share
these moments

Sometimes I feel like
the time-clock of the universe
is spinning out of control

Will look for your book now. Being new to Booksie, I will have to figure out how to do that.
