Beneath a Ninety’s summer sun,
Hearing seagull’s squawking cries,
An Island Girl in a cute red dress,
Is hiding mischief in her eyes.
Who could guess, or even know,
How transformed her life would be,
Leaving her loving Island home,
Journeying far, across the sea.
Residing now on distant shores,
A stranger, in a foreign land,
So content with welcoming friends,
Sharing times, ever~shifting~sand.
The girl soon became a woman,
Possessed of alluring, almond eyes,
Tumbling tresses of mahogany hair,
An island enigma, in disguise.
A portrait of, a cool-cover-girl,
Alluding to peaches and cream,
A subtle touch of nature’s brush,
Delicacy of a poetic, dream.
Ah, but be she radiant woman,
Electric beauty, hard-wired to stun,
Or, Island Girl in a cute red dress,
Beneath a Ninety’s summer sun.
