Going back in time
to a simpler place
a club in 1949
music at a fast pace

singers and dancers
everywhere it seems
magical moves on the dancefloor
guys shakin’ at their knees

a sense of happiness
it fills the air
and in a swift fast motion
it’s everywhere

a guy and a girl
all dressed up
take the floor
with no effort, he lifts her up

the music’s all around them
in the very air they breathe
nothing in comparison
the other dancers soon leave

soon it’s just them
all alone with the band
yet they continue to dance
still hand in hand

they are both much older now
but that passion still burns
though not physically
both still dance the flips and turns
