Dancing with the light

Which takes me in its flight

Trusting its touch and hold

Until it turns deadly cold

The sun avoids my glance

As I look for a romance

None is given but a curse

Bringing down a universe

Ruins arise

Showing the lies

Of old fireflies

Which once held me tall

Until I took my fall

I do not cry or fear

For there is no one to hear

My soul was left cold

As I searched for my gold

Rocks meet my skin

Cursing me as a sin

I die with each closing light

Until the darkness surpasses night

Coldness roams in my heart

Breathing, I fall apart

Into a world of firelight

I smile as I behold

The burning flames bringing light
