He woke with a fright. The only reason he woke was due to the loud noise from the room across from his. The clock on his nightstand read 11:11.Who could be up at this hour of the night? He thought to himself. Although the time did concern him, his main concern was what made the noise. He wanted to stand, but his soft, comfortable bed held him down like he was chained to it. The temptation was overwhelming. He passed out after what seemed like hours on his bed. He awoke again, hearing another loud noise. This time it seemed either louder...or it was closer than before. He glanced over at the clock. 11:11. Impossible! He thought. There is no way a single minute could have not passed! Something is up...Another noise crashed into his train of thought. Definetly closer this time. He was sure of it. The thought terrified him. Frantically, he looked around for something to defend himself with. His eyes passed over the old baseball bat he used years ago in the major league. Sure it was worn-out, but it would have to do. A fourth noise was heard. It sounded as if it was right outside his hotel door. Panic rushed through is brain like a boat down a waterfall. The thought of defending himself with the bat dissolved into the air. Another thought passed by, could he reach the kitchen before whatever made the noises could open the door? He saw the gleaming kitchen knife lying on the marble counter about a meter away. Just as he struggled to sit up on his tempting bed, the door burst into splinters. He shrieked as he saw a figure rush him. The last words he heard before he passed haunted him throughout the afterlife.
"It's time. I've been waiting for you!"
