Throughout his long life, he has known many names, and many faces. He has wandered the wastes, as both the hunted and the hunter. He is a builder, a bringer of civilization... of hope. Yet as a young man, he was a conquering tyrant of the wastes. He is a savior and a murderer both, a teller of truths and a spinner of lies. The man is a paradox incarnate; the only name he has truly embraced was Janus. During his time, all knew his name, and many feared him... but all judged him. But now, Janus' life is at an end; lying wounded and dying in the desert, it seems that he is doomed to fade into oblivion, alone and unmourned. Yet even as the life seeps from him, he is judged one final time... this time, by Death. He must tell his story, so that Death may decide where his soul really belongs. With the fate of his immortal being at risk, Janus must tell one final story... and reconcile himself with the life he has lead.
