These words contain my anger and betrayal. I'm not longer angry however, so i'm letting them go. Putting them in print, so if ever I need to remind myself, they'll be here for me to find.

Pulling at these manacles / blood dripping/ skin tearing/ On my knees in pain/ in pools of my own misery/ hanging by these chains/ they're all that keep / your body standing next to me / I struggle in silence/ so you don't awaken/ to break these bones quietly/ such pains I have taken/ So I can creep away unnoticed/ and stay my execution/ My head is too full/ of what my heart died trying to entrust/ When you wake I'll be gone/ Gone though you never expect it/ I've been running in place/ quietly screaming/ barely breathing for so long/ I know how they feel/ those who give their love and trust/ In hopes that this time/ it's so much more than simply lust/ In hopes that this love/ would turn out to be more/ Than some stupid, predictable, unsatisfying story line.
