There's a reason for everything

For the sun and the moon

There's meaning behind meaning

Behind the song of the loon

A song of renewal

And one of requiem

A greeting with good cheer

And a farewell with a tear

In these we all take part

We are a lioness

Stalking her prey

Protecting her young

We are a hindrance

To those who see only in grey

Who never think to guard their tongue

At once discreet

Yet on the prowl

No one ever hearing our feet

Yet all quivering at our howl

We are the people

Who live on this earth

We are the people

Who ne'er leave the hearth

The ground is ours

To mold as we would

Just ask yourself

Are we doing the best that we could?

Lioness Discreet Everything Requiem Hindrance
