Incinerate The Eyes Of Bacterium (When Hell Is Found Above)
A Poem By; Pestilence
Bleak the skies are these days... with highly combustible..... projectile soaring through the vibrant projection...
through the spectrum of carbonic rust..... Such a glorious dusk!
Windows mock with transparency.... souls bloated from their diet of propaganda
(the unabridged lustof the toxins who toil for mere human lungs)
It looks so promising.... I desire to reach out with undeserving fingers....
to catch a slight taste of nature's poetryon my
lips.
Bound to clones of a monster's creation.... Bound to this gardenof flesh and mutated bacterium.
We can only dreamto redeem ourselves beneath the aftermath... of the setting sun.

A result of too much Alice In Chains and a wonderful slideshow on WW1 mass destruction tactics. A bit more abstract then my usual stuff, but hey it fits requirements (I think).
Also I understand the bacterium is technically prokaryotic and the animalia and plantae kingdoms are eukaryotic therefore not bacterium, but there is a reason behind my use of the term here. I still however have yet to understand my reasoning behind taking ap bio this year...
I too entered this competition and used war as frame work for the required words. This piece while abstract has a feeling of the great war poet Wilfred Owen.
I will continue to muse over its meanings.
In the mean time thank you for sharing and good luck in the competition

That's funny that you mentioned Owen, I had read dulce et decorum est for school a few weeks ago. Must have been tucked away in my subconscious and seeped out into the next thing I wrote. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to comment and good luck in the competition also. I'll go check out your poem.
Mmm read some stuff now I didn't know and the poem really abstract hey?
Really great. Perfectly captures a modern feeling.
