Sparrows Alight

A Poem By; Pestilence

Ominous, the sparrow alights,
Whispering bro.ken prophecies
To blind eyes, swallowed by night

Tedious, plucking of melodic,
Strings. Listen to the pitches,
As the charred body sings,

For you,
Sweet.
Sweet.
Unity,
Long over due.

The hands of death,
Caressing taut tendons,
Encased in pale,
Sanguine saturated flesh.

Pecking.
Pecking.
Prodding at molding memories,
Vultures patrol the night,

My dear,
Sweet.
Sweet.
Fiend.

And
The sparrow always flees,
At the sound of muffled screams.
