come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

Strobes of halogen lighting,

scan the secure glass box

All other museum lighting

is faded to darkest black

A complex labyrinth of lasers

invicibly grids the wooden floor

The centre piece,

is a slowly rotating diamond

The chiselled stone beautifully holds

then returns every strike of light

It stands proud upon a dark blue

fold of the finest satin

A flawless crystal

but with cuts considered crazy

Gentle hues of pink

laugh upon the surrounding matt walls

The polished gem

is an acoustic memory, which echoes his art

He was the genius piper

who exited life's gate; one dawn in 2006
