It is a seed of doubt I sow

a shift in climate sees it grow

Opening shears to greet the plant

attempt to prune but find I can't

The leaves of uncertainty carry a dust

a thin powder detailing my mistrust

Stubborn vines upwardly creep

while roots of fear dig in deep

Every flower the shrub bares

is my upset expressed in layers

The acidic mulch my concious invents

is poured from a new found confidence

The herb called qualm continues to dry

wilts to my germ and finally dies

From the snapped stem I hopefully learn

insecure thoughts are my biggest concern
