A Real Woman To Fear

Poem by: Philip H20s

Summary

I think it deals with a young woman who is pretty and she is attacked by those who envy her. The attacks lead to her becoming strong and developing a personality of understanding.

The cold winds of her vanity

disperse the menacing ambers

Yet the coals that collectively

declare her ugly regroup

The heat is too much

the condemnation too loud

Tears fail to dampen

the furnace of envy

Her screams of pain

echo within an oven of spite

She will find strength

add weight to her splendour

Soon her personality

will match her beauty

Then she will be a real woman to fear
