As a calling rode the dark air

An old man falls into his chair

His eyes closed, his pulse short

Pending death controls his thought

Breath now erratic and muscles tense

Fear now becomes his primary sense

A last gulp and he folds to the floor

Defeated heart won't pump any more

A soul projected rainbow embraces the wind

A path to eternal wonder can now begin

He turns to view his earthly shell

Squeezing tight the tender spell

Whispered goodbyes, velvet the tear

Wings of guidance soon appear

A chair moves slow in rhythm

Time pauses, to snap the prism

Embracing a strong glowing white

A tapestry of love, smokes the light

Time to depart
