 Empty of tears

I stalk the candle of death

She guides my need

dissolves my future plans

I am a broken shell

void of feelings, unable to care

Stopping for breath

legs have their stabilty stolen

Beyond the flame

a voice proclaims ”journey end

Only now

a last tear wells in my eye

Solitary witness

to my final goodbye
