They say I fell,

a victim to the winds of October

I felt a push

I blame the hands of Autumn

We huddled together

upon the forest floor

We discussed the trees

and how their skeletons were now exposed

The cruel knock of winter

rattled upon each bark

I knew I was not here to rest

this place would become my grave

Eager splashes of forced rain

struck our already cold bodies

An orchestra of grey clouds

looked prepared to beat their instruments

I felt my skin change

my edges began to snap

The forest turned dark

I was no more
