A drunken spider

trails through black ink

Dizzy he wonders

his path creative

Eight busy hands

Eight busy thoughts

Conveys his confusion

Ambushes his memory

Then one by one

Each leg falls dry

Tomorrows hang over

Will reveal his art

The blur of his vision

May suspend his critical eye

Until then

Cradled in web

He dreams

The spiders dream

For she with eight shaved legs

Calls from within
