You chased her tears

to the cliff's crumbling ledge

Felt the taste of her lipstick

as she fell from the edge

Her eyes never moved from

your fading stare

A single tear moved

upwards in the air

Cheek wets to the salty

warm flash

Tongue seeks beauty

within the splash

Her name clouds

beyond your reach

The dream absorbed

by a thirsty beach
