Thirsty parchment please respond
To the wet ink of my feathered wand
Words seem to sink
Into the paper as I think

A puddle of ideas wants to grow
Demands all vocabulary I know
A tide shifts my organised words
A title is removed by circling birds

Fish resembling rhyming stance
Perform their own alphabetic dance
Mirrored surface captures the sun
Warm confirmation my poem is done
