Hear this poem being read

As the wind

gently rubs against a semi naked tree

Summer grabs her possessions

knowing she must flee

Faint rain

wets the autumn leaves

Under the forest floor

activity slows

The light of the day

becomes something precious

Served in limitation

and decreasing portions

Some seek hibernation

a promise of future warmth

Others buy scarves

and button warm jackets

To see your breath

on the air around you

Should be read as a clue

The seasons are in change

The absence of

the annoying wasp

Morning frost

exposing the home of the garden spider

Crops are ready

the annual harvest offers a gift

Change is upon us

embrace natures gear shift
