Hear this poem being read

A white china plate

must have fallen a great height

fragmented into many pieces

and decorated the dark of night

The moon

and its eight unchartered seas

The colour of chalk

an odourless cheese

Satellites dance in orbit

bouncing information

There's a space problem

aboard the International Language Station

And what of that inflated

bulb of burning fire

Atomically heating space

with no plans to retire

The Allende meteorite

with diamonds and all

Chose a night in 69

to romantically fall

With out a pilot

we the human race

travel at 65,000 mph

tearing up space

The soup of our system

under the telescopic glare

ponder our species

while in pause you stare

Perhaps intelligent life

can be found somewhere near

I for one have given up

ever finding any here
